Wildlife Services assists property owners in mitigating damage caused by migratory birds. Once a request is received, Wildlife Services staff evaluate the damage and recommend non-lethal methods to resolve the problem. Based on information from the property owner, we evaluate the need for additional mitigation. If damage continues, Wildlife Services biologists may recommend issuance of a U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service Migratory Bird Depredation Permit authorizing the lethal removal of offending birds.
