Assistant Director

As an Assistant Director of the National Wildlife Research Center (NWRC), Dr. Tobin is responsible for providing leadership in the development, implementation, and evaluation of strategic goals, objectives, program initiatives, and policies of the Center.  He supervises research project leaders in the areas of agricultural and natural resources protection, wildlife contraception, protection of invasive species, and aviation safety.  Dr. Tobin is responsible for the collection and analysis of internal and external information to monitor program effectiveness and to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to accomplish the Center’s mission and clearly define the federal role in wildlife damage management.  The NWRC, located in Fort Collins, CO, employs more than 160 scientists and staff.
