Gail Keirn
Public Affairs Specialist

Gail Keirn is the Public Affairs Specialist for the National Wildlife Research Center. She has more than 10 years of experience as a natural resource professional with a focus on public relations and environmental education. Her main role is to increase and improve communications within NWRC and between the Center and its various stakeholders, collaborators, and the public.  She is responsible for media, Congressional, and community relations, as well as the development of outreach and social media materials, such as factsheets, brochures, newsletters, web information, tweets/blogs, and online videos.

Gail holds M.S. and B.S. degrees in wildlife biology from Colorado State University and Texas A&M University, respectively.  She also has a minor in education and is licensed to teach science in Texas and Colorado.  In addition to her positions with the Federal government, Gail spent several years working in the private sector as a technical writer.
