SPECIAL INTEREST

Rabies suspected in 4 raccoons and 1 gray fox in Michigan (2008)
WDB Marks conducted the direct rapid immunohistochemical test (DRIT) on brainstems collected from these animals displaying signs of a neurological disorder. These animals were submitted as a result of efforts to increase rabies awareness in those that might receive calls from the public. All samples tested negative.
