Arkansas collects various samples for CWD testing (2008)
WDB Turnage assisted personnel with the Arkansas Game and
Fish Commission to conduct a white-tailed deer herd health check. Five
adult does were harvested, fetuses were measured to determine time of
conception, kidney fat and body weights were analyzed to assess overall
health. Brain stems and retropharyngeal lymph nodes were submitted for
CWD testing.
