Feral swine activity thought to be reduced compared to previous years (June 2008)
During the week of March 28th, 2008, NWDP Wildlife Disease Biologists Steven Lewis (AZ) and Zach Bowers (NV), along with WS pilot/volunteer Rigden conducted feral swine sampling on Havasu National Wildlife Refuge. Feral swine (an invasive species) activity was observed to be relatively slow this year and population numbers are believed to be reduced from previous years.
