Minnesota

Growing populations of geese, gulls, and hawks, coupled with increased air traffic, has resulted in the potential for life-threatening and damaging wildlife strikes at Minnesota airports.  To address wildlife hazards at airports, WS personnel in Minnesota contributed 2.785 staff years to provide assistance at 29 civil and 3 joint use airports for a total of 32 airports in FY 2010.  In addition, technical training was provided at 9 airports for 100 airport personnel.
