Airport Wildlife Hazards Program - Number of Airports Assisted Annually

Management programs may include trapping of raptors.The figure below represents the number of airports assisted and cooperator funding received by WS in provision of technical and direct management assistance to reduce wildlife hazards, 1990-2009.  In 2009, WS personnel provided 173 staff-years of assistance at 822 airports (612 civil, 120 joint military-civil use, and 90 military) in all 50 U.S. States, 3 U.S. Territories, and 7 foreign countries.
