Notice

If you have any questions or concerns regarding these regulations for exporting animals or animal products to a foreign country, you should contact the APHIS-VS Area Office in the State from which the animals or products will be exported.

ANIMAL PRODUCTS TO INDONESIA

As of June 2005, Indonesia no longer allows APHIS Veterinary Services (VS) to approve facilities for the export of U.S. origin ruminant meat-and-bone-meal (MBM).  Although the list of facilities initially approved to export ruminant MBM to Indonesia is still maintained by APHIS VS pending ongoing negotiations, no ruminant MBM facilities can be added by APHIS.  APHIS VS can only endorse export certificates for U.S. origin ruminant MBM to Indonesia from facilities that have been inspected and approved by Indonesia.  Questions regarding eligibility of ruminant MBM facilities should be directed to APHIS, VS/NCIE – Animal Products Exports Staff.  Please note that these restrictions do not apply to poultry meals.  APHIS VS will continue to approve facilities to export poultry meals to Indonesia and to endorse export certificates for poultry meals being exported to Indonesia from approved facilities.
