Card Test Permits
Our cooperative state agency, the Texas Animal Health Commission (TAHC), requires accredited veterinarians to meet certain criteria and be included on an approved personnel list before conducting brucellosis prevention, control, and eradication activities in Texas. Following bench training at one of the four State-Federal brucellosis laboratories located in Texas, accredited veterinarians on the TAHC List of Approved Personnel can apply for approval to conduct the card test on cattle tested for brucellosis at Texas livestock markets. Accredited veterinarians on the TAHC approved personnel list wishing to be approved to conduct the brucellosis card test should contact Mr. Sam Tobias at the VS area office in Austin, TX at phone number (512) 383-2419.
