About Veterinary Services in the Texas
Area
Veterinary Services in Texas is
a federal agency of the U. S. Department of Agriculture working in cooperation
with the state agency, the Texas Animal Health Commission. The Texas
Area office for USDA, APHIS, VS is located in Austin, Texas at 903 San
Jacinto Boulevard, Room 220. Office hours are 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M.,
Monday through Friday, and the telephone number
is (512) 383-2400. Stations also are
located at Texas ports of entry into the U.S. -- Presidio, Del Rio, Eagle
Pass, Laredo, Pharr, and Houston. Offices in the cattle fever tick
eradication program are located in Del Rio, Eagle Pass, Laredo, Zapata,
Rio Grande City, Mission, and Brownsville. See the list of
