Wildlife Damage Management - Environmental Assessments (EA)

An EA is a concise public document that briefly provides sufficient evidence and analysis for determining whether to prepare and environmental impact statement (EIS) or a finding of no significant impact (FONSI). If a proposed action does not have a significant impact on the environment, a FONSI/ROD may be prepared. If it has a significant impact, and EIS should be prepared before the action is implemented.  Generally, the author(s) of the EA also prepare the FONSI/ROD.
