United Kingdom - Summary of Requirements United Kingdom (UK) is a Member State of the European Union. Please refer to the English version of the certificates on the link to the European Union. Note special requirements for export of dogs, cats, and ferret to the UK below. SPECIES - MOST RECENT UPDATE Pets As of January 1, 2012, rabies titers are no longer required for entry into for pet dogs, cats and ferrets exported from the United States to the United Kingdom. A copy of the rabies certificate and microchip identification certificate must be attached to the health certificate. If the microchip identification certificate is not available, then the microchip number must be written on the rabies certificate. The name and manufacturer of the rabies vaccine must be entered on the health certificate.
