If you have any questions or concerns regarding these regulations for exporting animals or animal products to a foreign country, you should contact the APHIS-VS Area Office in the State from which the animals or products will be exported. Chile - Summary of Requirements Chile requires that health certificates and annexes musts be signed and stamped by a Veterinary Services veterinarian. Horses Informative notes: Chile has approved a new health certificate (HC) for import of horses from the United States. Effective March 5, 2012, all shipments of horses exported from the United States to Chile must be accompanied by the new health certificate that is posted on IREGS. Chile will reject any shipment of horses with health certificate format other than posted on IREGS.
Laboratory Animals Informative notes: Chile has approved a new health certificate (HC) for laboratory rodents imported from the United States. Effective March 8, 2012, all shipments of laboratory rodents exported from the United States to Chile must be accompanied by the new health certificate that is posted on IREGS. Chile will reject any shipment of laboratory rodents with health certificate format other than posted on IREGS.

wanting to ship livestock whose requirements are not listed above, should have
the interested party (importer/buyer) in the country of destination apply for
an Import Permit at the appropriate ministry. This Import Permit will most
