Cayman Islands - Summary of Requirements

Cattle

Sheep and Goats

Horses

  • Horses - March 2013 (pdf 85kb)

Pets

Note:  For a dog or cat returning to the Cayman Islands (CI) under a CI-issued pet passport listing an acceptable rabies antibody titer result within the past 24 months, the U.S. origin health certificate (export health certificate) need not (under CI rules) and should not (to avoid a higher APHIS fee for health certificate endorsement) carry any reference to rabies antibody testing.

*For species not listed, the requirements are not known. However, exporters wanting to ship livestock or germplasm whose requirements are not listed in the IREGS, should have the interested party (importer/buyer) in the country of destination apply for an Import Permit at the appropriate ministry. This Import Permit will most likely outline the specific requirements. The Ministry address is as follows:

Dr. Alfred Benjamin
Chief Agricultural & Veterinary Officer
Cayman Islands Department of Agriculture
P.O. Box 459 GT
Grand Cayman
Tel: 345-947-3090
Fax: 345-947-2634
