The U.S. Witchweed Eradication Effort Turns 50:
A Retrospective and Look Ahead
on Parasitic Weed Management

The APHIS Witchweed program in North and South Carolina recently passed the 50 year milestone.  A symposium is planned to celebrate progress in this program, and provide information regarding other parasitic plants.  Presentations are planned from U.S. and worldwide parasitic plant authorities and researchers.

Symposium Objectives

  • Update/Educate WSSA members highlighting recent parasitic plant research and control methods
  • Celebrate the release of South Carolina from the Witchweed Quarantine
  • Publish proceedings of interest to WSSA members
