Program Update and Industry Outreach Meeting - January 9, 2007
On January 9, APHIS sponsored a Sirex noctilio Program Update and Industry Outreach Meeting in Annapolis, Maryland. Sixty-three attendees representing twenty-nine unique agencies/associations from 19 U.S. States, the District of Columbia, and Ontario Province, Canada attended the meeting. Presentations were made by PPQ, the US Forest Service, the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets, and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA). Presentations were followed by discussion and a question and answer session to air concerns raised by representatives from the Forest Products Industry, State and Federal Government Agencies, Forest Products Stakeholder Associations, and CFIA.
