Applications for Intrastate Movement

A Federal permit is required only for the following situations and in all these situations, inspections are required before issuing a permit:

  • Movement of organisms that were brought into the State under a Federal permit that required the facility that initially received it to be inspected by USDA and which possesses a condition statement that requires a Federal permit for any subsequent movement.
  • Movement of a quarantine pest from an area under federal quarantine to an area outside that quarantine area.
