The North American Plant Protection Organization (NAPPO) and the United States Department of Agriculture, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, Plant Protection and Quarantine (USDA/APHIS/PPQ) invites you to the 36th NAPPO Annual Meeting to be held October 15-18, 2012 in Louisville, KY, USA. The meeting will take place at The Galt House Hotel located in the heart of the City. The Galt House is situated on Louisville’s Waterfront, overlooking the Ohio River, just seven miles from the airport and a thousand miles from ordinary. The Galt House is located at: 140 North 4th Avenue, Louisville, KY 40202.

 

The NAPPO Annual Meeting provides a unique opportunity for individuals throughout the North American region and worldwide to keep up to date with regard to current and emerging regional and international pest issues and standards. The agenda will cover diverse NAPPO and IPPC issues. In addition, the 36th Annual Meeting will feature a one day Symposium on "Issues and Trends for the Safe Movement of Plants for Planting in International Trade".

NAPPO is a Regional Plant Protection Organization created in 1976, under the authority of the International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations. It is comprised of the National Plant Protection Organizations of Canada, Mexico, and the United States. It provides a forum for public and private sectors to develop science-based regional standards intended to protect agricultural, forest and other plant resources while facilitating trade.
