Printable VersionPrintable Version

Federal Employees Family Friendly Leave Act (FEFFLA). The FEFFLA was a three year test program that authorized Federal employees to use sick leave for family purposes such as caring for an ill family member or making arrangements or attending funerals for family members. That program was due to expire on December 2, 1997. However, the Office of Personnel Management, under it's regulations, has extended it. Therefore, employees are able to continue using sick leave for the purposes outlined above. Any questions concerning FEFFLA should be addressed to Nella Roberts , Employment and Classification Policy Branch, on (301) 734-5382.
