KSA's are an important part of the recruitment process.  They are a tool used to assess a candidate's ability to perform a job.  In addition, they are used to distinguish between best qualified and basically qualified applicants.  KSA's may also be referred to as Evaluation Criteria in vacancy announcements.  A candidate should answer the questions as thoroughly as possible, paying close attention to detail.
