Human Resources Division (HRD) - Benefits - Seminars |
|
One of the best ways to learn about your retirement and other benefits is to attend a seminar. There are a variety of mid-career retirement planning, pre-retirement planning and financial planning seminars available from a variety of vendors. All training, of course, must be requested through your supervisory channels.
No cost or low cost:
Retirement Planning and Employee Benefits seminars are presented by USDA MRP Human Resources Operations Benefits Specialists, and must be requested in advance of the fiscal year budget planning, subject to available HR travel funds and staff resources.
Many Federal communities have active Federal Executive Boards (FEB) which may provide seminars to their local Federal community. See the FEB in your area for information: http://www.feb.gov/
There are also a number of financial planning web-based learning tools available through AGLEARN (PDF; 151Kb) . There is no cost; however, supervisory approval is required.
The following vendors provide seminars on Federal retirement benefits for a cost. We are including these links as a service to our employees, not as an endorsement of the training.
