Workstation Evaluations

The APHIS Ergonomics Program provides individual workstation evaluations for all APHIS employees.  Most workstation evaluations are provided onsite; however, some may be provided via telephone consultations. Workstation evaluations involve reviewing and assessing your daily job tasks performed and making necessary adjustments to minimize your potential for work-related musculoskeletal discomfort, which may lead to a work-related musculoskeletal disorder (e.g., lower back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, and tendonitis).

Workstation evaluations are available regardless of the type of environment you work in. Evaluations are scheduled for 1 hour. Please complete an Ergonomics Evaluation Request form to schedule a workstation evaluation. Call 301-436-3175 for more information.
