Commodity Import Request Process

If the commodity you want to import into the United States is not currently approved for importation and is not currently undergoing a pest risk analysis (please see Approved Commodities for more information), the national plant protection organization (NPPO) of the country from which the commodity would be exported must submit the information listed in  7 CFR 319.5(d) to APHIS at the address listed in the regulations. Upon receipt of a completed request, APHIS will initiate the pest risk analysis process.
