Decontamination Procedures

Reusable Equipment Decontamination

Items such as boots, goggles, and hard hats are considered reusable. These items will be decontaminated by washing them with a detergent such as Alconox and/or disinfectant, then rinsing thoroughly and either air drying or wiping them down with paper towels.

Reusable equipment used for sampling (hand augers, stainless steel bowls and spoons, etc.) will be either steam cleaned or cleaned with a disinfecting agent.
