BRS Stakeholder Meeting
On October 15-16, APHIS held a meeting for approximately 40 stakeholders in Riverdale, MD, to provide an update on the changes it has made to its biotechnology risk assessment and compliance processes over the past couple of years. APHIS provided information on its e-permitting system; its notification and permit scientific review process, including National Environmental Policy Act analysis; isolation distances; and organizational roles.
