Requesting Approval to Use New Technology for Handling Regulated Garbage

Anyone wishing to use new technology in the handling of regulated garbage must submit a signed letter requesting approval of the new technology along with the supporting required data per the following protocol.   

APHIS will assign the request to an evaluation team, which will request additional information from the establishment/company as needed. Send the signed request letter to the APHIS Administrator at the following address:

Alternatively, a scanned signed letter requesting approval to use new technology on regulated garbage along with supporting required data may be sent to the APHIS Administrator by email at the following address:  ppq.ops.regulated.garbage@aphis.usda.gov
