Why are Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSA) Important?

KSA's are an important part of the recruitment process. They are a tool used to assess a candidate's ability to perform a job. In addition, they are used to distinguish between best qualified and basically qualified applicants. KSA's may also be referred to as Evaluation Criteria in vacancy announcements. A candidate should answer the questions as thoroughly as possible, paying close attention to detail.
