The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) is co-hosting a conference with the U.S. poultry industry from June 22-24, 2015 in Baltimore, Maryland, USA. The goals of the conference are to review the risks of introduction of avian influenza viruses through global trade in poultry and poultry products, and to discuss appropriate measures to mitigate these risks.
The conference will include presentations by national Chief Veterinary Officers (or their delegates) on their countries’ experiences with, and perspectives on, managing the risk of avian influenza related to poultry trade.
We welcome the opportunity to host this important and timely meeting and look forward to your participation. Due to the meeting format and translation service limitations, attendance must be limited. There is no registration fee, but invitations are required.
