A final rule on the import requirements of fresh peppers from Ecuador went into effect on November 23, 2015. The final published rule indicated that fresh peppers from Ecuador would be allowed into the United States under a systems approach. A technical amendment will be made to restrict importation into the continental United States only. All rules will still apply to imports of fresh peppers from Ecuador. However, certified commercial consignments of fresh peppers from Ecuador will be limited to the continental United States only.
