USDA Announces Availability of Draft Environmental Impact Statement for GE Creeping Bentgrass

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service has prepared a draft environmental impact statement and preliminary plant pest risk assessment following the receipt of a petition from The Scotts Company and Monsanto Company seeking the deregulation of creeping bentgrass that has been genetically engineered for resistance to the herbicide glyphosate.
