NAHRS Objectives

Objectives

  1. To demonstrate the integrated and transparent nature of disease surveillance and reporting in the United States and ultimately help protect the global market share of America’s animals and animal products sold.
  2. To provide the primary source of information used in the completion of OIE reports by USDA-APHIS-VS.
  3. To provide reporting that reflects the comprehensive summary-level animal disease status of the United States, and individual State NAHRS reporting that reflects the summary-level disease status in that State.
