Monthly Reports

Following is a summary of the ISA surveillance conducted throughout the calendar year 2012:

In 2012 there were 517 total samples collected during 60 inspections at 11 sites. There were no cages confirmed positive for ISA this year. In fact, there have been no confirmed cages since February 2006. Biosecurity audits were conducted on all active sites at least once during the calendar year. All Category 1 sites were scheduled for monthly surveillance inspections; although some were not completed due to inclement weather.

Several sites completed harvest in 2012. Five sites were stocked with juveniles in the spring and summer. Several sites were fallow as of December 31st; some of these fallow sites will be stocked in the spring.
