Ag-Discovery at North Carolina State University (NCSU)

Divider

North Carolina State University (NCSU) and the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS)—an agency of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA)—are joining forces to sponsor Ag-DISCOVERY.  Many of the Federal Government's professional plant scientists work for APHIS.  APHIS is funding Ag-DISCOVERY, and NCSU is hosting program participants on its campus in Raleigh, NC.  The university will make a variety of plant species available to Ag-DISCOVERY students.  Every participant will work with plants to discover the effects of insects and disease on America’s agriculture.  Ms. Janet Bailey, of the Science House—NCSU’s statewide kindergarten–grade 12 learning outreach project—will facilitate the program.
